Coming Home: Watercolours by James White
For James White Coming Home has the literal meaning of returning to where he grew up in the Boggabri/Gunnedah area. The exhibition is a collection of images which reflect homecomings, journeys and memories of times past: scenes from travels, animals, dreams, movement, times of the day, rural life and corrugated iron are all represented.
All are welcome to attend the Opening Night of the exhibition at 6.30pm Friday 3 February.

Hot Off The Press, Sydney Printmakers 50th Anniversary Exhibition
In 1961, the group known as Sydney Printmakers was born. Fifty years on, it continues to flourish, embracing a wide range of contemporary and innovative printing processes alongside more traditional techniques. With regular artistic exchanges in Australia, Asia and Europe, members of Sydney Printmakers have continued the creativity, innovation and professionalism which marked its early beginnings. Therese Kenyon, curator of Hot off the Press has focused on recent works by current practitioners to show the extraordinary range of styles and techniques, from linocut and lithograph to etching and digital printmaking.
Tuesday 3 April-Sunday 6 May
Smalltown
Smalltown is a touring exhibition by Historic Houses Trust with 40 stark, beautiful large-format images of remote Australia. Photographer Martin Mischkulnig used a rare 8 x 10 inch large-format camera to highlight the reality of the physical and social isolation of small town life. He collaborated with writer Tim Winton whose words accompany the photographs, offering compelling and probing reflections on the nature of Australian rural life and the sentimental myths that we attach to it.
